Felt Storyboard w/Coordinating Story Pieces
Supplies:
1Foam Board
1 1/2yd felt (one color)
1 1/2yd felt (another color)
Tacky Glue
1Roll ribbon (for the sides)
Printed fabric of your choice, make sure the prints are big so they're easy to cut out
Directions:
1)Measure foam board lengthwise & mark the middle
2)Cut foam board down the middle so you have 2 piec
es that are the same size
3)Lay foam board on one color of felt
4)Cut out felt around foam board, leaving a 2" border, cut corners off at an angle (this will make corners fold easier and look nicer)
5)Place Tacky Glue all along the 4 corners of felt (one at a time), then firmly fold and press onto foam board. You should now have a fully covered foam board of one color, do steps 3-5 on 2nd foam board
6)Tacky glue backside of one foam board piece (the side that the felt pieces are glued to)
7)Place the backside of the other foam board on top
8)Lay something heavy on top of foam board pieces, you could also buy clamps from a craft or office supply store. Let the pieces set for at least 2hrs
9)Measure ribbon to wrap all around your story board
10)Glue ribbon to story board using Tacky Glue, if you have clamps, clamp the ribbon down now, do this with both sides
11)If you don't have clamps, allow to set over night with an heavy object on top
Story Pieces:
1)You can use a Cricut machine to cut out felt pieces to use on your story board
2)You can cut pieces out by hand and use puffy paint to decorate
3) You can cut the prints out of your printed fabric, then glue them to a felt piece to make them stick to your board
4)You can laminate photos, or any prints off of paper, then glue either a piece of felt or the sticky side of velcro to the back of it for a wonderful set of story board pieces! Get Creative!
In the Photos:
I added a handle to my story board with my ribbon, I simply measured out the handle to the size I wanted and glued it to my story board before placing the two story board pieces together.

These are so much fun, fast, and the kids love to throw them at each other to get each other soaking wet. They can also be used dry in the house for a rousing game of tag, much safer than some of the other stuff they try to throw at each other! Hope you enjoy these as much as my kids have enjoyed them.
