The past week has been a cosmic joke or the complete definition of Murphy's Law, take your pick! Last Friday Kaden got off work early so, as a family, we went to the grocery store. We came home excited to have breakfast burritos for dinner. Summer began to cook dinner & Kaden casually looks out the kitchen window to find a car driving through the back fence and stopping in the back yard! Luckily none of the kids, nor the dog were outside at the time. The fence has yet to be fixed, we're told it will be fixed next week.
Now today is Friday the 13th, and it's the quintessential Friday the 13th. Kaden was at work all day with a massive sinus headache, so he was puking in the bathroom for a good portion of his day and sitting in a lot of pain at a desk for the rest of the day. Summer has the joy of staying home and dealing with all the crazies around and about town. Summer was going to bake some yummy sweet bread and realized she needed milk, so she packs up the kids and heads to the store. The store was nuts with people everywhere so Summer decides that going to the store wasn't a good idea and heads home. On her way out of the parking lot an old lady no younger than about 80 (literally) decides to throw her car in reverse, Summer lays on the horn and the lady stops no further away than about a foot from the car!
We did get to go out to dinner at a local restaurant tonight and watch a magician. The food was great as was the service and the magician so we're going to call this day a wash. We're hoping to get out of this town for one day this weekend, at least, and start over new on Monday :)
