Getting Prepared!

Today has been a fun filled day of reading teachers manuals, figuring out Student Editions, signing up for online access, checking emails, and forming lesson plans for the first week of school that's going to start September 7th. After getting out my teaching manuals for my oldest daughters math, I quickly realized that I was going to have to delve into this and not go at it with a "fly by the seat of my pants" attitude I was hoping to have. Who are we kidding anyways? We all know how much of a planner I am, there was no way I was going to get away with just wingin' it!

This homeschooling thing is going to test me in ways that I can't imagine. I will learn lessons in patience, organization, reading, writing, computer skills, parenting skills, spousal skills, and anything else you could possibly imagine. I am so looking forward to it and yet very intimidated my it all in the same boat. To be able to provide my children with the education that will start them on their lives and also continue with all my Mommy duties is going to be such a gift. I know there will be hard days and good days and days I want to throw in the towel, but I understand that not all mothers get to take this venture with their kids and I am so grateful that I have the husband I do so that I can live my life this way. On an ending note for today: Have you thought of your blessings today?
