About 3months ago I began cloth diapering my now 2yr old son. I quickly found it would be much easier, with cloth diapers, to use cloth wipes. I of course could purchase these wipes from one of my many talented and crafty WAHM's or I could make them myself. I opted to make them myself. To my surprise, they were easy peasy! Here are the steps:
1)Cut up old (or new) recieving blankets to desired size squares
2)Place two pieces of the cut up squares back to back so the "good" side of each is showing.
3)Serge around all edges
4)DONE!
If you don't have a serger, you can do a zig zag stitch around the edges & it will work just as great.
These are double-sided and thick so they work really well for even the messiest diapers. What I do is simply wet down 2 or three wipes for poopy diapers and just 1 for pee pee diapers, use them, rinse them, and put them in the wet bag until wash day. These are a wonderful frugal option to purchasing wipes at the store.
