First Post in 2 Years!

So, the last time I posted I was about ready to give birth to Mr. Jansen. Our little man was born on September 2nd, and yes I was induced! I went back to work shortly after his birth at the gym teaching fitness classes. It was only a short time later that I realized that I wanted to be home with my son 24/7. I quit my job at the gym and did in-home daycare for a while. Due to a poor economy the daycare thing didn't really pan out, which was OK because I got a lot of special one on one time with my boy while my girls were at school.

The school year brought on some challenges for our family. The bottom line is that Kaden and I decided that keeping the girls home and educating them here under a structured program would be the best way to go. I heard about this program called I-DEA which is an online public charter school. The girls get free tuition, we have a contact teacher (who is an awesome lady), there will be field trips and experiences for the kids that they would not have been able to take part in had they stayed in a traditional brick and mortar school. As a whole, our family is really excited to move into this next adventure in our lives.

I am going to try to be a better blogger and post on here regularly, well as regularly as I can! We will be sharing our adventures as a family and hope that maybe you will be able to derive something positive from reading about our little family.
